Max Blair Makes it 5 in a Row at Raceway 7

Chad Wright and Bill Cunningham led the Schwartz Construction FASTRAK Late Models to green with the veteran Cunningham leading the first lap. After a first lap restart the race only made it to turn one when a five-car pileup triggered when one of the leaders spun in front of the pack again slowed the action.

At lap four Dwayne Pond was challenging Cunningham for the lead and completed the pass at the end of six. After seven Max Blair was second looking for his fifth straight win. Down the back chute on lap nine Max Blair was the leader with Robbie Blair now challenging for second.

At eleven laps caution again was over the track, putting Robbie Blair next to Pond for the restart. As soon as green flew it was Robbie Blair second to his son. Max Blair would beat his father to the checkers for his fifth straight win at the Conneaut oval. Following the Blairs to the checkers was Pond, Kevin Decker, and early leader Cunningham.
