Blair Repeats as Raceway 7 Beats the Rain

Dave Airgood and Mike Pegher led the full field of 24 Schwartz Construction FASTRAK Late Models to the green but yellow was quickly shown as Bob Vogt and Dwayne Pond spun in turn one.  Airgood won the first turn drag race on the restart with Pegher and Max Blair right behind. 

Blair came to second on lap two and pulled alongside the leader on lap three but was unable to complete the pass.  With five laps in the books Airgood had a fender in front at the flag but Blair was in sole command of the lead by the next time by the flag.  Blair was in lapped traffic by halfway and Pegher was challenging. 

Rob Blair came by Pegher for second at lap fourteen and began chasing down his son.  Caution was shown at lap fifteen for a spin in turn one by Dwayne Pond.  For the restart it was Max Blair in front of his father, Rob, and Pegher third.  For the final five laps it was a battle of the Blair’s with Max opening up his lead over Rob who was putting distance between himself and Pegher.  Airgood held on for fourth with Dennis Lunger fifth.  Max Blair now has two wins at Raceway 7 to open the 2010 season and has six total FASTRAK wins in the season so far.
